Febfast 2026

Why I Febfast

I’m taking on Febfast to support people in crisis. A number of people in my life are volunteers, one of the closest people was a lifeline telephone counselling crisis support worker until caring for her patients during the pandemic (no working from home for her) became a priority. She is just one of the amazing supportive people that walk among us all each day. I like many people might not be here today without the support of people like that. Life can feel overwhelming, and having someone to listen makes all the difference. Please donate to help Lifeline be there when it matters most.

Every 24 seconds, someone in Australia reaches out to Lifeline
for help

That’s more than 3,000 people every single day who just need someone to listen. By skipping the sip for one month, I’m not only giving my body a break – I’m helping make sure Lifeline can be there, anytime and anywhere, for the people who need it most.
It’s a small challenge for me, but it could mean life-changing support for someone else.

Together we can ensure Lifeline can continue to be there 24/7 so that no one has to face their toughest moments alone.

MY PROGRESS

Check out my Febfast calendar to see my progress! You can choose a date to sponsor me with a One-OFF Pass. It will give me a night off my challenge while still supporting Australians in crisis.

MY IMPACT SO FAR

I've raised $928 so far - that's 23 calls answered for Lifeline's crisis support hotline.

Every $39 helps power another call, offering hope and crucial moments of connection to people in their toughest moments. Will you back me with a donation?

My Updates

An unexpected loss of mass - 5.1kg down

Tuesday 24th Feb

FebFast Update – 5.1kg Down 💪

One month. No alcohol.
Result? 5.1kg gone.

Cutting out the drinks has made a bigger difference than I expected.

Less empty calories.
Better sleep.
Clearer head.
More consistent energy.
Better training sessions.
Lower inflammation.
Better recovery.

Alcohol quietly stacks up — not just the calories in the drink, but the late-night snacks, the poor sleep, the sluggish mornings and the skipped workouts that follow.

Removing it for February has been a reset.

But FebFast isn’t just about weight loss.

It’s about raising money for Lifeline, supporting Australians doing it tough and providing 24/7 crisis support.

If you’ve ever thought about taking a break from drinking — even for a month — I can genuinely say it’s worth it.

And if you’d like to support the cause, please consider donating to my FebFast challenge. Every dollar helps Lifeline continue the incredible work they do saving lives.

Thanks to everyone who’s supported so far 🙏
Let’s finish the month strong.

The force behind the challenge.

Monday 16th Feb
A person who puts others first almost always. As a former lifeline crisis counsellor she continues a life that aims to give back prioritising the welfare of her patients usually well over all else. But she still makes time for her family and loved ones. I’m quite sure I might not be here without her strength and guidance. The purpose of this challenge is to put more people like her on the end of a lifeline call, and keep them there to change and save lives.
